Deepak Malhotra serves as the Director of Metallurgy, overseeing a variety of projects and supporting sites both domestically and abroad, while also staying readily involved in test work at the laboratory and providing mentorship to Forte’s staff. Deepak is a world-renowned mineral processing expert who founded Resource Development Inc (RDi) in 1990 and ran it successfully for 28 years before starting Pro Solv Consulting in 2018. In October of 2022, RDi merged with Forte Analytical and Pro Solv merged with Forte Dynamics.  

Deepak holds a Ph.D. in Mineral Economics and a M.S. in Metallurgical Engineering. With over 50 years of mining industry experience, he specializes in strategic planning due diligence, acquisitions, divestures, training, feasibility studies, preparation of NI43-101 documents, and more. 

He has managed projects in research, process development, processing plant troubleshooting, plant audits, detailed engineering, and overall business management. He has helped commercialize mineral processing plants with capital ranging from $15 to $750M and has performed more than twenty-five audits of mining operations worldwide. He holds four patents and has published over 60 articles and edited several books. Deepak is also on the Board of Directors of several publicly traded mining companies.
